This is a tour that starts from the " Costume Gallery ", the only Italian State museum dedicated to the History of Fashion and goes to the " Capucci Foundation ", a recently opened museum settled in the beautiful Villa Bardini . It's a walking tour as the two museums are connected by the Boboli Garden , wordly known as the first Renaissance european private garden designed in the 16th century for the Medici family.
The " Costume Gallery " displays original costumes from the 18th to the 20th century, while the " Capucci " shows dresses designed by the roman stylist Roberto Capucci who is still active.
The "Made in Italy" was born in Florence on February 12th 1951 with the first fashion show ever and Capucci was one of the italian stylists who participated to the event.
