Description

After leaving Florence, we will stop in Trequanda about 1.30 km away. Trequanda is a charming medieval village located in the hills of the Val di Chiana.

Here, in addition to the possibility of visiting the Rocca di Trequanda: a well-preserved medieval fortress, with Ghibelline battlements and a semi-circular tower.

Church of Saints Peter and Andrew: with its stone and brick facade, it represents an example of local religious architecture.

We will stop at a renowned farm where you will have the opportunity to become an oenologist for a day. You will be able to experiment with the techniques for creating a Supertuscan wine and you will be able to label it with your name.

The next stop will be Montalcino.

Montalcino is famous for its Brunello wine and offers spectacular views of the Val d'Orcia.

Must-sees:

Fortezza di Montalcino: a 14th-century fortress with corner towers and patrol walkways.

Piazza del Popolo: the heart of the historic center, with the Palazzo dei Priori.

Abbey of Sant'Antimo: located a few kilometers from the center, it is one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture in Tuscany

Finally, a stop in a typical winery for a visit and tasting of Brunello wine.
